The Story Behind This Blend:
A client contacted me and lamented that she and her husband had not slept in the same bedroom for 10 years because of his snoring. She asked if I had some essential oil for that. Each and every product in our line has come about due to a request or need. Soooo…into the lab I went and voilà …Snore Essentials was born!
I sent the blend to my customer and then to numerous people who I knew had snoring ‘issues’ including separate bedrooms, CPAP devices, multiple surgeries etc. All had results and most on the first, second and third nights of using it. I was elated to say the least.

What causes snoring?
The noisy sounds of snoring occur when there is an obstruction to the free flow of air through the passages at the back of the mouth and nose. This area is the collapsible part of the airway where the tongue and upper throat meet the soft palate and uvula. Snoring occurs when these structures strike each other and vibrate during breathing.
Almost half of Americans surveyed have reported snoring occasionally. At least 25% reported snoring habitually. The kind of strain this can put on partners and relationships is immeasurable. This strain and the social ridicule associated with snoring can increase stress and feed the cycle of inadequate, restful sleep.
Adverse health effects suffered by people who snore include sleep deprivation, which can cause chronic fatigue and lack of concentration leading to workplace injuries and car crashes during commuting. (Drowsy driving is responsible for 1,550 fatalities and 40,000 nonfatal injuries annually in the United States)
A serious long term health effect is Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). OSA is characterized by multiple episodes of breathing pauses greater than 10 seconds at a time, due to upper airway narrowing or collapse. This results in lower amounts of oxygen in the blood, which causes the heart to work harder.
This extra strain can contribute to heart disease and stroke. A growing body of evidence, including data from cross-sectional and longitudinal studies, links OSA with the development of insulin resistance (pre-diabetes).
While not always completely effective, you can take steps to combat snoring via proper dieting, exercise, positional therapy, avoiding alcohol and other muscle relaxants before bed. Some very common medical treatments may include invasive oral devices, CPAP machine, or surgery.
So, if the thought of wedging a giant rubber bit in your mouth as you crawl into bed for the duration of your evening or resorting to invasive and potentially expensive surgery isn’t a first step you’re willing to take then why not try something much less severe, much less invasive, travels easily, so much quieter, and smells so good?
