You know that sting you get on a hike, the one that lingers reminding you of the refreshing hike you just had? Join Desiree for a 2 hour class to learn all about the Beloved Powerful Stinging Nettle.
She will discuss the history, benefits, preparations, identification, and harvesting of our local stinging nettles. She will also discuss 3 herbs that pair with Nettle that benefit your health.
Desiree will bring a nettle-inspired food to enjoy during class and you will leave with nettle leaf (dried and/or fresh) to play with at home along with recipes.

Desiree is the resident Herbalist at the Apothecary. She received her Advanced Herbalism Certificate in 2021 from Vital Ways Institute. She was inspired to become an Herbalist through her own health journey, receiving a B.A. in Psychology and traveling throughout the US and finding plant medicine in all corners of the country. She enjoys making custom tea blends for people, teaching people about herbal medicine and discussing digestion.
